The Challenge
Design a next-generation Clinical Trial Management System that could recruit, stage, and manage potential patients at scale while meeting strict HIPAA requirements. Sponsors and pharmaceutical partners needed secure, auditable access to sensitive data, the ability to integrate prequalification logic from client systems, and clear executive-level study metrics without exposing raw patient identifiers.
Our Approach
We took a compliance-first, API-driven approach: separate staging and production patient records, encrypt all sensitive fields, and build role-based access and audit trails for sponsor and site visibility. An AI prescreening layer captures candidate responses and scores eligibility, enabling automated sorting and routing of prequalified leads into client workflows. Dashboards surface concise study statistics for executives while underlying data structures preserve consent, provenance, and traceability.
