Luminus X
Luminus X is a modular, production-ready digital design system that unified design and front-end implementation for a custom CMS, accelerating launches and reducing maintenance. It delivered design tokens, a reusable component library, Figma assets, interactive documentation, and onboarding to ensure rapid, consistent adoption.
The Challenge
The client needed a single source of truth for design and front-end implementation to accelerate delivery of a custom content management platform. They faced inconsistent UI patterns, slow handoffs between design and development, and mounting maintenance costs as pages and content types multiplied.
Our Approach
We created Luminus X as a modular digital design system: a tokenized visual language, reusable components, and a living documentation site that paired Figma assets with production-ready code. The system was developed iteratively with prototype integrations, accessibility and performance reviews, and direct collaboration with the client’s content and engineering teams to ensure real world usability and easy adoption.
The Outcome
The design system reduced development time for new pages and features, eliminated visual regressions, and improved editorial efficiency. Consistent patterns and clear documentation lowered maintenance overhead and sped up launches, giving the client a predictable, scalable foundation for future product work.
What We Delivered
A finished design system including design tokens, a UI component library, Figma design kit, interactive documentation site, accessibility checklist, code examples for implementation, testing patterns, and an onboarding guide to help the client’s teams adopt and extend the system.
