We designed and built an industry-leading native mobile network for the competitive dance community, with a modular architecture of over 1.2 million lines of code and role-specific experiences for dancers, studios, agents and organizers. The Challenge
Connect a fragmented competitive dance ecosystem into a single, elegant mobile network while preserving the complexity of roles and workflows. Dancers, studios, agents and event organizers each needed distinct experiences, discovery paths and data flows, all within an intuitive, fast mobile interface. Architecting for scale and real-world usage patterns without compromising usability presented a major product and engineering challenge.
Our Approach
We partnered with Vosix and spent months designing a modular, native mobile architecture driven by user-centered design. We mapped core personas and journeys, then built role-specific features, frictionless discovery and matchmaking, secure profile management, and realtime event and messaging capabilities. Iterative testing with dancers and studio partners guided UI refinements so the experience remained simple while supporting deep, interconnected functionality.
