The Challenge
LMM needed to transform a slow, manual specification process that required draftsmen, architects and multiple specialist reviews into a repeatable, fast and provable workflow. Large projects produced hundreds of drawing pages and fragmented notes that took days to convert into a single, construction-ready specification. The risk of human error, inconsistent documentation and long lead times created delays and cost uncertainty for contractors and builders.
Our Approach
We designed SpecForge as an AI-driven engineering SaaS that ingests architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings plus voice or written notes and produces a validated specification package. A custom three-stage AI pipeline reads every page, indexes drawings and cross-checks design parameters such as wall dimensions, materials, terrain constraints and building practices. The platform consolidates input from architects, draftsmen and specialist teams, applies domain rules and outputs a standards-compliant spec ready for procurement and scheduling.
The Outcome
SpecForge reduced specification turnaround from days to seconds while improving accuracy and consistency across multi-discipline projects. Contractors gained immediate, actionable specs for sourcing and planning, project teams experienced fewer RFIs and change orders, and LMM moved into phase two with a production-grade product ready for public rollout.
