The Challenge
Bring a premium, reliable takeout ordering experience to the southern coast of Africa where inconsistent connectivity, varied local payment habits, tight delivery windows and fragmented restaurant operations create real operational friction. The product had to simplify a multi-party flow while remaining fast, secure and intuitive on both web and mobile.
Our Approach
Design a focused three-stage user journey: Discover, Order, Deliver. We applied a mobile-first UX with progressive web app behavior, local payment integrations, offline resilience and smart caching to handle spotty networks. Real-time order and driver tracking, clear merchant workflows and an API-first, modular architecture allowed rapid iteration and robust operational controls for logistics and onboarding.
