Core is an end-to-end, mining-specific safety platform that captures and processes acoustic feeds at the edge and delivers low-latency alerts and unified control dashboards for operators. Engineered for intermittent connectivity and constrained hardware, it provides resilient edge-to-cloud ingestion, prioritized event handling, and role-based displays that improve situational awareness and accelerate incident response.
The Challenge
In underground mining environments, operators needed a mission-critical system to ingest acoustic feeds from distributed sound sensors, process them in real time, and present clear, actionable information. The solution had to tolerate intermittent connectivity, run on constrained hardware, and deliver low-latency alerts so crews could respond to safety incidents without delay.
Our Approach
We built an end-to-end, mining-specific safety platform. Lightweight software on devices captured and preprocessed audio, applied efficient signal analysis and prioritized events for transmission, and buffered data during connectivity loss. A resilient back end normalized and indexed telemetry for real-time dashboards and role-based control displays, while focused UX and alerting logic reduced operator cognitive load. The system was engineered for fault tolerance, secure communications, and easy field deployment.
The Outcome
Envirocon delivers continuous, low-latency acoustic monitoring that materially improved situational awareness and accelerated incident response. Mine operators now have a single pane of glass for live control, alerts, and historical analysis, increasing operational confidence and safety oversight across distributed sites. The platform is actively used and scales with additional sensor deployments.
